Men abuse women more often than a woman abusing a man. The main reason for this is socialization the man has received while growing up which means in what environment he has been brought up and what role his peers and education played in a man’s life that made him violent. Usually, men are brought u saying they are strong, powerful and can control anybody they want especially women because women are weaker sex and it’s the man who is responsible for a woman’s wellbeing. This creates a superiority complex in many men and therefore, they feel that abusing their women is a justifiable act because now she is their property. Also, abuse is not only physical.
